Still struggling to keep stock alive after three years of drought and no rain in sight, Bush Spirit is a fitting title for this new book by mother and daughter.
For the first time these two Award winning Bush Poets have compiled their poetry. It is a mixture of humourous and serious work.
Janine has twice won the title - Ladies Australian Bush Poetry Champion and Qantas Waltzing Matilda Bush Poetry Champion in Winton. In 2003 she added the prestigious Bronze Swagman Award for Written Verse to her list of achievements, with the poem "Not Gone"
At 21, Jennifer has worked her way up through the ranks of Bush Poetry competitions. Twice Australian Junior Champion, runner-up in the Qantas Waltzing Matilda Championships. In 1999 Jennifer won the Ladies Written Section of the Australian Bush Poetry Championships.
